The Trust is in the process of producing documentation to work in line with the guidance provided by the Department for Education (DfE) concerning appeals processes this year. We will be writing to all parents who have submitted an appeal shortly outlining the process to be used and advising the dates when hearings will take place.
Year 7 – September 2020
Year 7 places were offered, via the local authorities, on 2nd March 2020. Children who could not be offered a place, due to there being more applications than there are places, will automatically remain on a waiting list until 31st December 2020. On the Admissions page you will find details of how many applications there were, and a breakdown of places by oversubscription criteria. If you need clarification about why your child was not offered a place, please speak to the Admissions & Appeals Office via the contact details given above.
As a result of changes to the law concerning admission appeals, the previous timescales have been temporarily amended.
Any appeals already made will be heard, where possible, by 1st September 2020. Any appeal forms submitted after the end of May 2020 will be heard as soon as it is feasible to do so.

The Academy is currently full in each year group. Parents can apply for their child to join the waiting list; details of how to do this can be found by clicking on the 'Admissions' tab at the top of the website.
Before you can make an appeal you must first have applied to the Academy for a place and/or have completed an In-Year Application Form for the local authority. Once you have received a letter advising you that a place cannot be offered, you can then proceed to make an appeal for the Academy if you wish to.
The Academy can only proceed to the appeals stage if the year group is full. Places are not 'reserved' for those whose appeals are upheld, so any upheld appeal will result in the year group being over the published admission number.
