Y8 Oxford Expedition

Event Date: 26.06.2018

The Year 8 expedition to Youlbury, Oxfordshire, will take place from Tuesday 26 June to Friday 29 June 2018.

Set in 42 acres of woodland in rural Oxfordshire, Youlbury Scout Activity Centre is the perfect location for an outdoor adventure and will provide our students with a once in a lifetime experience. Students will participate in a range of outdoor activities designed to reinforce our core values of hard work, trust and fairness. The activities will include archery, zip wire, orienteering, bushcraft, climbing and aerial trek – to name just a few. Students will be camping and so it is advisable that they buy their own sleeping bag and roll mat for the residential. It is not advisable that they bring wheeled suitcases, as space is limited on the coach.

All Trinity students work hard to climb the mountain to university and so to show students what the top of that mountain looks like we will be visiting the city of Oxford on Wednesday 28 June. During the visit, students will participate in a walking tour of the University and historical museums and soak up all the culture that Oxford has to offer.

Please find below the list of equipment that is needed for the expedition. It is imperative that the students have the items that are underlined as the students are camping overnight in tents. If you are struggling to acquire any of the items on the list, please do not hesitate to contact Miss Bate.

At Trinity, we would never want a student to miss an experience because of financial constraints, as such, any family who finds themselves in hardship should contact Miss Thompson, Principal.
